Why are you doing this?
This is being done mostly to learn how to use the YouTube API and to provide a service that is useful. This is not some weird stalker thing.
What's a brooker?
Will you spam me?
Absolutely not! The information collected is used only to provide the notifications that you have requested. It will not be used to send unsolicited advertisements or sold/given to a third party.
Is this free?
Yes. However, if you use the SMS feature, you're carrier may charge you per message. You are responsible for any telephone bill charges, not us.
Am I really notified the as soon as the video appears?
YouTube is polled once every minute for new videos, as soon as a new video appears, the notifications are sent.
What is SMS?
You've probably heard of text messaging on cell phones, this is what SMS is.
I don't have a cell phone or one with SMS (text messages). Can I use the service?
You do not need a cell phone. By default, this service sends alerts to your e-mail address. The SMS feature is optional.
Why do you keep waking me up at 4 in the morning?
We send out notifications as soon as they appear, often, this is early in the morning (BST, currently GMT +8)). You can modify your SMS preferences your profile and disable notification if desired..
The timestamp on the video is several minutes old?
The timestamp is the time when the video was uploaded. It is not viewable at this time. It must first be processed and made available. You're notified as soon as it is available for viewing.
The video does not show on the account's videos page. Why is this?
There are two possible reasons for this. Either you are seeing it before the servers saw it or the video has already been removed.
Why was I just notified about a video that is several months old?
This happens if a video is private, then changes status to public. We haven't seen it yet, so it's considered new.
Why haven't I received an SMS confirmation code on my phone?
Verify that you have entered the correct 10 digit telephone number and selected your carrier. Then try sending the request again. If it still does not work, it may be a problem on our end. Contact your carrier and find out what e-mail address for your phone's SMS messages is. It's usually in the format 1235551234@yourcarrier.com. Then let us know the carrier and the e-mail format and we will correct or add it.
My cell carrier isn't listed. What should I do?

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Please send an e-mail form the e-mail address that you used to sign up and we will reset it for you.
I do not want to be notified any longer. How do I disable it?
You can select the enable/disable notifications by visiting your profile page. You can even delete your account if you no longer will be using this service.
How does this work?
It works by monitoring the YouTube API for new videos. If a video we haven't seen before appears, the notifications are sent out.
What else does this site provide?
This site is simply a front end to the system to allow people to sign up to be notified. It offers nothing more. See here for the fan site.
Do you monitor any other sites besides YouTube?
Yes, Stickam live status and Ustream.tv IRC is monitored..
Can you notify me of the latest thewinekone video?
No, we only send out notifications of Brookers/QuietRiot videos.
